Junior Racing
Welcome - Quad racing for Juniors is a fast growing sport in Victoria that allows all our Junior riders to ride competitively or for fun at our race meetings which are held on average once a month. Our days are full of family fun and good sportsmanship with most riders going home with trophies.
On joining our club you can apply for a licence application form to send off to Motorcycling Victoria to obtain your licence.
LICENCE
Motorcycling Victoria will require you to accompany the form with: -
- 2 passport photographs of the applicant
- Proof of age of the applicant (birth Certificate)
- Proof the applicant has a current Ambulance subscription
- Proof that the applicant has meet with the requirements of the Junior Coaching Policy (JCP)
- Proof of current club membership
- Written authorisation of a parent or guardian.
All Junior Competitors must produce their JCP upon demand of any Key official during a meeting.
JUNIOR COACHING PROGRAM
- To obtain a competition licence all Junior riders (7 to under 16) must undertake a minimum 5 hours of coaching by an accredited coach in required modules.
- The QRCV can advise you of contact details of our Accredited Coach in order for you to complete the program.
- To renew your licence each year, all junior riders must complete the 5 hours of coaching each year until they reach the age of 16 and maintain their logbooks accordingly.
New rule to Clarify the age for a Junior Rider - A Junior Rider's age on January 1 will determine his/her age for competition that year. However, a rider may move to the next higher class when he/she becomes eligible to do so at any time during the year, but once a rider moves to a higher age class in any competition, he/she may not move back to the lower age class. Points earned in the lower class cannot be transferred to the higher class.
