PostHeaderIcon QRCV Enduro Results

The first ever QRCV run Enduro has gone off without too much of a hitch, bar from a little rain which set in just before the begining of the Senior race. Th eJunior classes were the first away and Ben Wade led the J2 200cc/300cc class from the outset (also setting the fastest lap of the Junior event) until a mechanical issue with his Raptor 250 handed the lead to Harrison Van Vliet, Harrison was not without his own issues though and the lead changed again, with half an hour to go, to Demika Anderson but not for long with 10 mins left to run Harrison took the lead again and went on to win by 2 laps.

In the 90cc/110cc class Jake Gartside lead from start to finish on his Pro Shark MXR90 followed hot on his heels by Kellan Robinson until a crash put Kellan out of the running, after an hour and a half with 15 laps down though it was Ayrton Halsall in 2nd only 5 minutes behind Jake Gartside.

In the Senior event it was Paul Smith and Cam Wade who lead off, going toe to toe on lap times for the first half an hour, although Troy Sheridan took the fastest lap of the race on the first lap and looked like he may even catch the lead pair on the next lap but some electrical problems slowed Troy down and a cooling issue eventually put him out of the race. Mark Baynton and Ben Hall also traded lap times for the duration finishing 3rd and 4th respectively with Jono Wade rounding out the outright top 5 and making it an all Suzuki affair.

The wet weather took it's toll in the senior event making the track quite challenging with a few retirements from the mud but all in all most riders like how challenging the rack turned out to be.

There i of course a big thank you to the property owner (and sponser of the QRCV) Nick Suter form Ironbark Machinery for the use of the venue and Daryl Rose from QRASA for coming over to be the Steward for the day. Also to Victor from Victory Meats for supplying a first class breaky and lunch on the day as well as all the volunteers who helped out.

With all 3 rounds now complete it was Western Australian Rider Ryan Lancaster on top of the podium in overall 1st place.

Pro class proved a winner with the 20-minute motos giving the best of the best every opportunity to take out first place position.
But it was Lancaster's outstanding and consistent performance over all 3 rounds that gave him the edge over the other riders.
After a few thrills and spills it was young gun Mitch Van Vliet out of action with a broken leg, Paul Worth succumbing to a broken wrist and MacKay having a few lumps and bumps.

Lancaster gave an inspirational speech that every mother would have been proud of. All junior riders sat and listened as Lancaster poured out his soul to give the young riders motivation and encouragement.

Invitational Dash for Cash also proved a powerful race but it didn't matter what type of race was on offer it was Lancaster collecting a nice little bankroll to take home back to WA.

It was great to see former Australian Champion Women riders Donna Newman and Jeanette Lindsay battle it out with newcomer to seniors Chloe Beer. Beer just stepping out of the Junior 300cc class proved her point by taking 2 of the 3 wins in the last round showing that she was a force to be reckoned with.
Young guns Jake Van Vliet and Adam Larson also stepped off the junior class to compete in Expert taking podium positions over Jono Wade who had just come back from injury and Robert Booth. According to the young guns Pro class may be full next year as the aim their sights high.

Between the Vets class and Jumbo Juniors it was hard to tell who had the most fun showing all junior riders it's never to late to start racing. But it was the junior riders throwing their quads around the long tracks showing the oldies how it was done.
Aidan Robinson put in solid performances at all 3 rounds in the 90cc class with his brother Kellan hot on his tale.
Ben Wade, Harrison Van Vliet and Daniel Middleton had great battles in the 300cc class and the young Nippers put on a stellar performance as well

Racing was fast and furious over the 3 rounds held in SA, NSW and Victoria.
The Tri State Series run by the Quad riders Club of Victoria showed that the Quads are here to stay and are aiming to be bigger and better in 2011.
