Terrific Tales of Toolleen
ROUND 3 ATV SUPER SERIES 8 – REPORT
Round 3 proved to be a huge success with riders coming from
near and far. It was great to see our interstate supporters
coming along for the fun and also great to see them take home
some trophies.
Toolleen was a huge track with some great table tops. The
Club put on a terrific day for all especially the great breakfast
for Mothers Day celebrations. The track was in great condition
with members helping out to make sure the day ran smoothly.
The Pro riders managed to race 10 laps in their 15 minute
motos showing us once again why they are our top riders. Paul
Worth, Adam Siemensma , Paul Smith and Aaron Ovens challenged
themselves constantly trying for that 1st place position in
all 3 races over the course of the day.
Justin Agosta in the Clubman race has proved once again that
he is the force to contend with winning all 3 motos for the
day. Matthew Bruns gave chase in the 1st race with Brett Rowe
and Chris Marks flying behind in hot persuit. New comer to
the club Aaron Caldwell showed off his talent by coming in
overall 3rd place for the day, Brett Rowe taking 2nd and Justin
with his convincing win in 1st place.
Young talent Cameron Wade has been giving the older riders
a run for their money since coming out of juniors. Racing
in Expert Cameron managed to come in 1st after a big get off
in the 3rd race. Another new comer to the Club, Tyler Rivers,
gave a great performance with his overall 2nd place, and Jay
Chandler pulled off 3rd. Amo Mason was 4th and would have
been even closer to the field if not for his DNF in the 1st
moto.
Cameron Wade has also mastered the Production race with 3
straight wins. Also mastering the Production class is NSW
rider Anthony Parsons who is getting fit fast riding 2 consecutive
classes.
The Junior Classes keep getting bigger and better. It was
great to see our Nipper riders, in matching gear, Jett and
Oliver, race the full track never giving up the chase for
the 1st place victory. The smiles on their faces under the
helmets, as well as their proud dads, were treats to watch.
Cooper Van Vliet still managed to just hold on to the championship
lead with Cooper Timbs Poke and Bonney McLaren closing the
gap fast.
Mitch Van Vliet pulled off 3 straight wins with the fast and
furious Jon Wade, Adam Larson and Jake Van Vliet closing in
behind him.
Womens Novice Rider Keryn Whibley had a major cruncher on
a step up forcing her to retire for the day with neck problems.
New comer Brenna Bartley seems to be following in her sisters
(Partrica Bartley) footsteps cranking up the pace to bring
home the 1st place trophy at her 1st race meeting. Ainsley
Anderson stepped up her pace coming home in victory for the
last moto of the day giving her an overall 2 place with Rebecca
Lindsay coming in 3rd.
With the Victorian Titles and The Aussie Titles coming up
towards the end of the year all riders are putting in great
performances keeping up their talents and fitness. Next round
is at Mt Gambier and we look forward to seeing you all there.
