BRP AUSTRALIA ANNOUNCE FACTORY SUPPORT FOR ATV RACE TEAM
18/Jan/2008
BRP Australia has officially announced their factory support for a new ATV race team for 2008 to race in the 3 State Tri Series, 2008 Australian ATV Motocross Championship, Super 8 Victorian Club Series and Stadium races; a hot new format including ATV racing with stadium trucks, monster trucks and MX freestyle riders..

Joining Rick Beer (Vic), new BRP Can-Am Team riders Michael Roycroft (NSW) and Jamie Barkla (Qld), both highly accomplished ATV professional riders, will race the 2008 season on the new 2008 Can-Am™ ATV DS 450X.

According to Can-Am, "The Can-Am DS 450X is a racer's dream come true; advanced engineering gives it the lightest weight in the ultra-competitive 450 class. In addition to its light weight, the ATV's sophisticated front-end geometry and potent Rotax engine give the DS 450 an advantage with which the competition will have a hard time keeping up."

Team Can-Am propose to race in all Major Club, State and National titles this year and will also include any other major races that come on board such as Stadium MX events and demonstration events.

“We are very excited to be a part of this new partnership,” said Grégoire Dupont, General Manager, BRP Australia. “We encountered time and again the energy and passion that define the Can-Am customer, the real enthusiast that lives to ride. We feel this relationship will allow us to further show the ATV public that Can-Am is also synonymous with racing success.”

Team Can-Am will also be attending all the Motor bike shows and Car shows in 2008 presenting some of the most innovative and exciting ATVs to enter the market, including the most powerful ATVs in each of their classes.
